Stress in the workplace is a common problem in many organisations. It reduces efficiency and negatively affects the work environment. However, in most cases stress is manageable when it is more fully understood. This course is designed to help you look at stress as something that can be controlled, rather than something that controls you.
This short course begins by looking at some general information relating to stress and suggests some stressors that are likely to affect most people.
We then look at the role of individual beliefs, thoughts and behaviours in maintaining stress and suggest some ways that these things can be managed.
Working with other people can be stressful, and so we have included a section on language, communication, and communication styles.
This course is available as a Power Point or Word Document and works well as an online course or a workshop.
